Doomscroll Tax
Doomscroll Tax is an Android app for private money challenges between friends who want to scroll less. Each person stakes money, the phone tracks their time on six social apps, and the server picks the winners. Winners get their stake back. Everyone else's stake goes to charity, after a platform fee.
Screen-time tools show you how much you scroll, but nothing happens when you go over your limit. Seeing the numbers alone rarely changes the habit. People need something real at stake, like money or the opinion of friends.
- Give people a financial and social reason to cut down on social media
- Make challenges with friends simple: create one, invite friends, compete, settle up
- Handle real money and personal data safely enough for a public launch
